Margaret’s original Bachelor of Science degree (Fordham University) in Biology, led her to pursue a career in Nursing after completing another Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Mount Saint Mary College).She practiced as a Registered Nurse for almost 20 years, working in a variety of hospital and well-patient settings: Medical-Surgical, Critical Care, Pediatrics and Urology.
After leaving Nursing, Margaret continued her studies, preferring to cross over to the alternative therapies.She has a Master of Science in Natural Health (with Honors from Clayton College), is a Certified Natural Health Professional (CNHP), and is a professional member of the American Association of Nutritional Consultants. In 2015, Margaret achieved her certification in Neuro-Endocrinology from NeuroScience NEI Program.
In 1999, Margaret formed her company, An Ounce of Prevention LLC, and started offering Nutritional Consultations.Her practice has grown, in large part through referrals from satisfied clients.
She is available for individual and family counseling as well as for group seminars and workshops.
Consultation services offered by Margaret are directed at teaching her clients about nutrition and better health practices. Clients are offered information about food, supplements, and herbs as a guide to general good health.
The client understands that those who give counsel are not medical doctors because they not seeking medical or diagnostic services or medical treatment procedures.
The services performed by Margaret Wright, MS, BSN, CNHP are at all times restricted to consultation on the subject of nutritional matters intended for the maintenance of the best possible state of nutritional health and do not involve diagnosing, treating or prescribing of remedies for disease.
